This was because they had been advised to avoid inviting the player to turn around the full 360 degrees available in VR. This warning makes sense to some extent - a tethered player at home will notice the cables if they're suddenly cocooned by them. As a game designer, your heart might have sank, or rage might have boiled to your eyeballs at the potential of not being able to use the 360 degree visual field that is your right. Hold out on the angry blog posts until after you hear this talk - I'll tell you some things about what VR Audio can do for your VR. We'll cover what the tech is and how you can design with Audio as your secret weapon for "immersive" "presence" without the choking hazard. "
